To the Ramos family, my thoughts, prayers and condolences are with you.  In my time with UoPX, Joe made me smile and laugh whether over the phone or in-person.  Any time I was in Chicago for a UoPX event, Joe took time to ensure we were all taken care of.  His passion and caring for students and staff was evident in the work he did.  May God be with you as you mourn Joe's passing.

"Kuya" cousin Fritz, my heart goes out to your family and loved ones during this time. I read something recently that I think everyone should remember... "Love the people God has given us, because one day He will want them back." it's simple and True.   I thank you for the memories we had shared during our time together. Joe was a one of a kind and very geniune person. This is a complement that very few people actually earn however, Joe truly deserves this recognition! His wonderful spirit and memory will live on forever. I enjoyed working with you Joe!

I worked with Joe at the downtown UOPX location.  He did a great job keeping the students in line with a firm respect.  We had quite a few laughs together and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him.  He made my job easier.  My deepest sympathy to all of his family and friends.

Dear Kuya Lito,

We will miss you terribly.  But we are also happy to know that you are in a better place now.  Don't forget to say hi to Tata, my Dad, Tita Oping, Papang, Tito Tanchong, Lolo Bucio and Lola Ina on our behalf.  I only regret that I was not able to see you before you moved on, and that my daughter Bernice was not able to know what a crazy, fun loving uncle you are.  And since you are already there with Him, please ask Him to give strength to Nana and your siblings, that they may find solace in the knowledge that you can finally rest now in the loving arms of our Creator.

I was saddened to hear about Joe. Whenever I visited the Chicago campus, he was always there to greet and welcome me, checking in to make sure I didn't need anything. I will remember him smiling and happy. His laughter and sense of humor were contagious. You couldn't help but be happy around him. Thank you Joe for always brightening my day! Rest in peace.

I have had the distinct pleasure and honor to be Joe's best friend and the extended family brother for these past 5 years. Where you saw one you would always see the other.
 
At  my house Joe was known as Uncle Joe Joe, I travel pretty excessively for work and knowing that Joe was not really a fan of cats,really only because he had never had them around him, I decided to ask him to baby sit on one of my shorter week long trips,well by the time I came home and he went back to his house the texts message were all about how are MY boy's he was in love and Uncle Joe from that point forward.
 
We supported and stood by each other in so many ways.
 
When I needed someone to stand in for the boy'S he became uncle Joe
 
When relationships were difficult at best Joe stood quietly behind me never judging.
 
When it was my Mom who was in her last weeks it was Joe who supported me and stood in to watch the boy'S for almost three months.

And it was Joe who flew to South Carolina and Stood with me when it was time to come home to Chicago, leaving behind one of the most difficult and precious times in my life the final care of my Mom, and when I came back to Chicago after the loss of my Mom and could not get off the couch it was Joe who stood with me and stayed with me just to take care of me.

Joe stood and supported me in all of these things and much more¦..

When Joe wasn't sure if he could obtain his new role a UOP we worked together studying an preparing him to prep for the interviews.

When Joe had a down turn in life and wanted a lecture from me,instead I stood beside and supported and did not lecture....hey I am no armature at this.....he felt enough guilt on his own..LOL

And when he got sick and felt fear of rejection I stood as constant proof to him that true love and brotherhood had no judgment or limits.

I share all these examples today to say that we loved supported and stood by each other sometimes quietly and sometime loud and strong.

Today I Stand aside for you Joe as your extended family brother and your best friend to let you go home to Heaven. Thank you for the love, support and not least of all..the laughter...........oh what wonderful times and laughter.

I have to admit that for all the support we given each other..Standing here today in support and love of you has left me with a broken heart but we both stood together during good and bad times and I could not be anywhere else these past months.  I stand here one more time for you..with thanks for you and a broken heart.  I love you and I know you are home with our Savior.I will never forget..

To the Ramos family...I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was a great person, a terrific co-worker and touched so many lives. I will miss him so much.
