To the entire Thiel family, I will hold you in my prayers. Seeing the pictures brought back a lot of fond memories of Estes Avenue! So wonderful to see a few of you this past Christmas Eve at St. Margaret Mary's mass. Sincerely, Joni Flannery

Dearest Thiel family,

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of Joe and deeply sorry for your loss. Joe and I worked together at Jewel many years ago and became fast friends. He used to walk me home from work when we both worked until 2:15 AM to make sure I arrived home safely! We lost touch over the years, however I loosely followed his career in the CFD with updates from my brother Tom, a Captain in the CFD. I'll always remember his smile and the twinkle in his eye. He was a great guy. May he rest in peace surrounded by His love and light.

Rose & family it broke our hearts to hear this. But Joey left us with some wonderful childhood memories - the Thiels & Flannerys & Kidders ( all 17 of us kids together) playing night tag, games at each others houses, parties, trick or treating, etc. Our prayers & thoughts are with his children and the rest of the family. God Bless

Thiel Family,
I'm sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
Joe was a friend of mine from way back.
We also worked together at Jewel. We had lost touch over the years but, I was lucky enough to get back in touch with him a few years ago. Joe will be missed, he was one of the good guys. Rest In Peace my Friend.
