Please accept the condolences of Karen’s classmates, the Class of ‘77 at the University of Notre Dame. Karen was kind and understanding, and her smile lit up a room. Some have written in to say she was a good friend and co-worker at the North Dining Hall, and others to say they are keeping Karen in their prayers. May she rest now in peace. We pray also for Karen’s husband, mother, brothers, family and friends -may loving memories support and console. ND’77 Class Secretary

Karen was one of the sweetest, kindest, gentlest people I knew at Notre Dame. We were Breen-Phillips dorm-mates, roommates, and North Dining Hall co-workers. She always had a smile and a kind word. Unfortunately, we didn’t keep in touch after graduation, but I have always had fond memories of her and our time together at Notre Dame. May she rest in peace, and may her family find solace and comfort in their memories.

Aunt Karen was a lot of fun, I'll always remember the statue of David refrigerator magnets she had that you could dress with various other magnets. I'll miss the way she used to "big sister" my Dad at various times of family gatherings that reminded me of the fact that my Dad is just a goofy little brother like me.

I am the property manager of the building that Karen was a long time resident at. Karen was a very kind and gentle person. It was an honor to have known her. She will be missed at the WaterFord.
