

Lawrence "Larry" Novello. age 76, of Chicago, at rest Jan.4, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. Fun loving husband for 56 years to Gigi and father to Larry Jr. and Lauren. Sweet brother to Pauline (Gene) Sullivan, John (Bernice) Novello, the late Marie (late Emil) Gregor, late Jim (Lorraine) Novello, late Phyllis (late Dominic) Libreri and the late Joe-Joe. Larry worked at the Chicago Tribune for 30 years as a mailer. He had great years there, always having a laugh and playing jokes on his friends. After the strike he went back to school at age 51 and earned his license from the City of Chicago as a building engineer for Equity Office Properties. He loved a good time, good food, a good laugh, fishing and his Lab puppies. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Justin and Gabriella. "Unc" was an awesome uncle to Ronnie, Lanae, Mark, Mike, Andy, Dan, John, Philip, Julie, Renee, Jill, Pauline and Gigi. He passed his love of fishing to his grandson Justin and his nephews Mark and Mike. Also, he was "Big Daddy" to the circle of Larry Jr's friends. They all thought he was a cool Dude and he was just that !! A helper to anyone. If you wish please join us in celebrating Larry's life. Services: Funeral Friday 10:15 am from Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave. to St. Juliana Church. Mass 11:30 am. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 3 - 9 pm.
