Lena Vazzano

Lena Vazzano was born on October 26th, 1954, from the parents Salvatore DiMaggio and Rose DiMaggio. Lena was the kindest, most loving mother and wife anyone could have asked for. She married the love of her life, Antonio Vazzano, and went on to be together as one for 50 years. She was active in her church at St Priscilla where she attended with her father, Salvatore. Lena loved to sing in the church choir and passed on her religious values onto her children and grandchildren.

Lena loved cats, her grandchildren, and always made sure her kids and grandchildren had the very best that life had to offer. Lena always jumped at the chance to help others that were in need whether they asked for it or not. Lena was a humanitarian in every sense of the word. Lena's strength, kindness, and love live on through her husband, kids, and grandchildren.

Lena is survived by her beloved husband, Antonio; loving children Salvatore Vazzano, Sylvia Vazzano, Giuseppina Vazzano, and Rosetta Vazzano; and her cherished grandchildren Marcell Hood, Jacoby Hood, Taylor Allen, and Jurnee Harrington.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, August 12, from 4pm until 8pm at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. Funeral mass will take place Thursday, August 13, St Priscilla Catholic Church, 6949 W Addison St, Chicago, IL 60634. Burial to follow at Mount Olive Cemetery, 3800 N Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60634.
