Lillian was the devoted wife of the late Chester “Smokey” Chodak, with whom she shared 43 wonderful years of marriage. She was the beloved mother of James (Roseann) Chodak, Paul (Maribeth) Chodak, and Carol Abbate.
A proud and dedicated homemaker, Lillian found purpose and fulfillment in caring for her family. She took pride in her role as a mother and homemaker, and nothing brought her more joy than tending to her home and family.
Lillian was known for her famous six-layer torte cake—a treasured family favorite that no one has been quite able to replicate. She delighted in gathering loved ones for holidays and celebrations, always creating a welcoming table and a joyful atmosphere where everyone felt at home.
She found happiness in life's simple routines—her weekly Friday hair appointments, sending greeting cards for every occasion, and the pleasure of cooking for others. These small acts were her quiet way of expressing care and devotion.
Lillian will be deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren: Michael (Lauren) Chodak, Devin (James) Cummings, Kate Chodak (Ryan Zoiss), Nicholas (Anna) Abbate, and Vincent Abbate (Cecily Boley). She was also the loving great-grandmother of Colin and Ben, who affectionally called her "Gigi", and great-grandmother of Myles.
Her legacy of love, warmth, and devotion to family lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
