Lillian Dorothy Schrean

Mrs. Lillian Dorothy Curry-Schrean, affectionately known as Augie, was born to Katherine Ranseur-Curry and Raymond Curry on May 25, 1928, in Chattanooga Tennessee. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. John W. Schrean, Jr. and to this union one son was born, John William Schrean, III.

Lillian attended schools in Chattanooga and Chicago, ultimately becoming a Keypunch and Data Entry operator at IBM prior to her teaching career with Bryant & Stratton Business College. She was very well respected and admired by co-workers and students who continued to communicate with her years after their graduation. Lillian later became an instructor and office manager for the law firm of Cook and Associates where she worked diligently until her retirement.

Preceding her in death were her father, Raymond Curry, Sr., beloved mother, Katherine (Toots) Ranseur-Curry and brother, Raymond Curry, Jr.

Lillian passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 30, 2024. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, John William Schrean, III (Susan); Granddaughter, Kia Shakeel (Mohammad); Grandson, Gerald Schrean (Zandra); Great-Grandchildren, Nadia Hussain (Wsam), Rajeyah Shakeel, Aaliyah Zar (Wqam), Bilal Shakeel, Tony Schrean, Jalen Schrean; a Great-Great-Grandson, Mikael Hussain and; Cousins Elaine Grimes and Lucille Harrison (William).

A visitation will be held from 10:30 am - 11:30 am on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625. The funeral service will start at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
