Lil, we met thru Al, and I loved you at first sight...you wore a lilac sweater and were in early stage, and I saw how thoughtful you were to wear lilac crystal earrings to match your sweater that set off your angels smile.

 You enjoyed the Christmas Concert, but vowed to return the next year, for the second one half...AL was so supportive and attentive to your every move, and I knew how deeply he cherished every graceful movement you made, as if he were memorizing every smile,  every twinkle in your eye, 

May GOD bless you as continue life till you meet again

People always say “ it feels like yesterday “ but it truly feels like yesterday that Lillie and I became roommates and life long friends. We got our first apartment together! We enjoyed our new found freedom, we cooked, drank wine, laughed and cried and talked late into the night.  And that continued throughout the years. 

I will miss Lillie’s  amazing energy, ,good nature, straight talk and unwavering kindness.

Our work group had such a fun outing in 2017 when these pictures were taken. I had the pleasure of working with Lillie for 25+ years.  Everyone who worked with Lillie knew that she was a straight shooter and loved her for it! Lillie and I shared an appreciation for good food, farmers markets, and often swapped recipes. 
We talked several times during her the pandemic and I was always encouraged by her courage and positivity during her illness. She shared her excitement about becoming a grandmother. 
My deepest condolences go out to the family. I am praying that you receive the “peace of God”, or the calmness and tranquility that only God can provide at times like this (Philippians 4:6,7). Praying that this peace along with God’s promises found at Revelation 21:3,4; Isaiah 25:8 comfort and soothe your hearts today and in the days ahead.

Good friends are hard to come by these days. Even though I moved out of state, we remained friends for over 40 years.  You will be truly missed.

I've known Lillie every since High School.  My last visit with her was so uplifting.   She was so full of energy and excitement.    It was Lillie,  Freddie Joyce and myself.   We all talked to Bernadine on the phone.   We laughed and talked about old times of growing up in Robert Taylor and attending Du Sable  High School.   😊  Lillie I will miss you  but I will hold on to the memories.
