Loreto Mamagat Gaspar, Jr., age 78, passed away peacefully September 12, 2020 in Chicago, Illinois. Devoted son of the late Loreto Gaspar, Sr. and Presca nee Mamagat; beloved husband of Nelaida nee Porcioncula; loving father of Catherine-Jerleen (Bryan) Gaspar Karl, Christine-Cheryl (Rolando) Gaspar-Galindo, and Arlene-Antoinette (William) Gaspar; cherished “Tata” of Tristyn-Robert, Logan-Madison, Jenna-Marie, Jazmin-Violet, Yasleen-Alvarita, Jaelynn-Leia, Ariela-Antoinette, Alexander-Anthony, and Andrew-William; dear brother of Monserrat (Tarciso) Resterio, Enrequita (the late Desiderio) Gaspar, Eleanor Gaspar, and the late Ben (Julieta)(the late Natividad) Gaspar. Loreto will be remembered most for his immeasurable amount of love for his daughters and all of his grandchildren as well as his family in the Philippines.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. Final Viewing Prayers will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 9:30 am at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 5545 N. Paulina St., Chicago, IL. Entombment & Committal Service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 11:30 am at Rosehill Cemetery Mausoleum, 5800 N. Ravenswood Ave., Chicago, IL. In consideration of the safety of all our guests and associates, Drake and Son Funeral Home will adhere to the current gathering restrictions in the state of Illinois, which allows 30 or fewer guests at services. Proper social distancing must be practiced and all guests will be required to wear face masks at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.
