

Louise was born April 25, 1925 in Chicago, the daughter of Frederick and Marguerite Korn, who preceded her passing in 1971 and 1963, respectively. Surviving family includes eldest son Lon (known to the family as Bruce) with his partner Julie; son Dan, with his wife Beth; and son Fred, with his wife Caroline; grandson Nick, with his wife Elissa, and two great-grandsons, Paxton and Theodore.
Louise began playing the piano at age six. At age fifteen, she studied at the American Conservatory of Music. At age eighteen, Louise began a professional career in clubs and restaurants, such as Tradewinds on Rush Street, The Steak House, Rio Cabana, The Barclay Club, Palmer House, and Chicago Athletic Club. During the ten solid years performing, she worked in New York, Los Angeles, and mainly in Chicago at the better clubs. A former runway model, she also did voice-over and film work. She retired from her professional career to marry and raise her sons.
Louise was a Life Member of many organizations, notably, the Chicago Federation of Musicians, Lakeview Musical Society, and The Art Institute of Chicago.
Respects can be paid from 9:00 am to noon; funeral service from noon to 12:30 pm, at Drake & Son Funeral Home, in Chicago. Burial will be at Beverly Cemetery, in Blue Island.
