It would be wrong to say that Lucy lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. There was no quit in Lucy. When anyone else would have broken, Lucy never let any obstacle thrown her way stop her. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.
Lucy loved wine! Pino to be exact! She would brighten up any room she walked in. She was a wife, a daughter, a mother, a nana, a sister, an aunt, a neighbor, a confidant, and a best friend. Lucy had an aura in which people gravitated towards to seek advice or guidance. Lucy had many nicknames around the house such as (mama, nana, sunshine, cupcake, and mama bear) just to name a few. Lucy cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors. She did not out of obligation, but because that’s who she was.
In the words of my mother “We fight hard but we love harder”
Lucy is survived by husband Luis Reyes, her two daughters (Stephanie Ramos + Melanie Vega) and son (Ethan Reyes). They invite you to join them for a memorial service at Montclair Lucania Funeral Home. Monday July, 6th from 3pm-9pm.
