On December 27th 2023 Lynne Esther Benjamin passed away peacefully at home. Born August 30th 1952 to Robert and Sarah Newey Benjamin in Chicago, Illinois. Beloved mother to Anthony Ortiz and Jasmin (Dinkha) Debaz. Cherished grandmother to Isaiah, Ayana, Jordan and Jonah. Sister to Robert R. Benjamin (Rochelle). Aunt to Aron (Amanda) Benjamin and Paul (Alana) Benjamin. Great aunt, cousin and friend to many. Lynne was known for her love and endless devotion to her family and friends. She will be missed and remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Services will be held on Wednesday January 3rd,2024 at 11am at St. John’s Church of the East, located 1421 West Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60640; burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Livestrong Foundation.
