Deepest condolences to Marianne's family and friends, may her memory be eternal and a blessing. I met Marianne a few years ago while riding the 54A bus going home after work and we became friends. We spoke on the phone and did get together for lunch for our birthdays, we both shared September 11.  I am sad to discover she has passed on, I miss her stories and her company. I am so sad to recently hear of Marianne's passing. I last spoke with her before Christmas & she was going to call back soon so we could catch up. We met at Immaculate Heart of Mary & sang in the choir. We would occasionally meet for lunch around our birthdays. One of her fondest memories was when I took her to the first night game at Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs. Every year since then, she would text me: "Do you know what we did on this day?" We'll miss you Marianne.. I  only wish I knew then so we could've celebrated your life with your family.  Marianne is now singing with the choirs in heaven the Cubs 7th inning stretch song - Take me out to the Ballgame!

Marianne and I met at Madonna HS, like so many of her (and our) friends. She was a bridesmaid at our wedding in a park in Peoria IL in 1973.  What fun to share! Like many, we lost touch over the years but Facebook gave us a chance to reconnect. And Paula Crossen gave me updates about Marianne when she started driving Marianne to doctor appointments. I’m glad we got to reconnect and chat on the phone again. So sorry for her loss.

I just found out Marianne passed.  We last spoke 3 days before Christmas. My heart is so sad. Marianne and I knew each other since 3rd grade. 
She shared her love of Andy Williams, Herman’s Hermits and so much more. I admired her wit and intelligence. She was so smart, I was in awe. That beautiful voice, she sang at my sister’s wedding. 
 
We hadn’t managed to get together for a long time but when we talked it was as if no time had passed. We felt so lucky to have a friend who knew us practically from the beginning. 

I’m sorry for family and friends who lost this special lady. Rest in peace my friend.

Marianne and I met when we were freshmen at Madonna High School.  Like all dazed and confused students at the all girl high school, we bonded in home room and stayed in touch for ever.  It was always amazing that no matter how serious the conversation may begin, with sickness and death, politics and financial problems, we always winded up in the gutter, laughing at some inanity, with smiles on our faces as we said good-bye.  Marianne's favorite time of the year is coming up soon, St. Pat's Day.  Her China doll porcelaine face (while I had acne everywhere) gave her the look of the Irish, and her affection for all things Irish, had her bonding with my Scots-Irish, husband, Kermit.  We had many a delightful March 17th celebration sipping Jamieson, toasting the Auld Sod while dining on her corned beef and cabbage or shepherd's pie-- delicious! Such happy memories won't be forgotten.

Sincere sympathy to all who knew and cared about Marianne. I remember her from high school and the poem/essay she wrote about giving roses 🌹 to flower 🌸 children. It left an impression on me and others classmates. I had connected with her recently on Facebook. She was a kind soul and will be missed.

I’m so sorry that Marianne has passed away. I spoke to her not too long ago and was waiting to hear from her so I could take her to her doctor’s appointment. 
I went to high school with Marianne and reconnected with her through Facebook.
