Marilyn J Carbone

She was born on May 4, 1941 in the city of Evergreen Park, Illinois. She is survived by her friend and former caregiver for five years Gladys Ababio, her cousins JoAnne Carbone, John Carbone, Edward Carbone, Jr., Michael Carbone, Gloria Rivera, Jimmy Ferolo and Peter Carbone. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Dominick Sr. and Melba (Viggiani) Carbone, son Gary Carbone, sister Donna Carbone and brother Dominick Carbone, Jr.

She graduated from an all-girl private catholic school in 1959. She worked for the State of Illinois as a Revenue agent most of her working life and retired in 2001. She had a great memory for dates and events during her lifetime.

Since she was bedridden with Parkinson's Disease, her favorite pastime was watching Channel 5 television and joking and talking with the nurses and caregivers of Ascension St. Benedicts and her two cousins John & JoAnne Carbone. She enjoyed her sweets and pizza for sure and Diet Coke.

A visitation will take place from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Malec and Sons Funeral Home. Prayers will immediately take place at 11:00 am. Immediately following prayers there will be a service at The Chapel at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery, 87th Street &, S Hamlin Ave, Evergreen Park, IL 60805.
