I am so so sorry to hear this Sharon, Scott , Katie, Scott, Jimmy & the rest of the family! I just saw it today and missed the services. If we would have known, we would have definitely come to pay our respects! Losing a loved one is never easy, especially during the holiday season. Your mom (grandma) was such a wonderful person. We remember her from softball games! May her memory comfort you through these difficult times and I truly believe she will always be with you and watching over you all. So sorry to hear this. I used to go visit her many many years after I left there in 86. She was a wonderful person. She had pictures always under the glass on her desk even had one of my eldest daughter. She was truly a great teacher and person. Sorry I was not able to say a final goodbye to such a wonderful person.

I am so very sorry to hear of Mrs. K's passing.  I will always remember her as one of St. Rita High School's most devoted fans. I swear she never missed a game in all the years I marched there. Later, I was lucky enough to be her hairdresser for over twenty years. She was one of the sweetest, kindest and most generous clients I have ever had the pleasure to take care of. Many of my customers felt the same way and would still ask how she was doing, long after illness prevented her from coming to get her hair done. Rest In Peace, Mrs. K. You were one very special lady! My deepest condolences to your family.

The Burke family sends their condolences and prayers to the Kilmartin family at this  time of sadness.  Our mother, Mary Ann Kearney Burke was a good friend of Marilyn and John.  She graduated from Visitation H. S. and Mundelein College with Marilyn.  She will miss her very much.

I will always remember her letting me take extra books from the library . She was an amazing woman and a great listener to me.

So sad to hear this. I had Mrs. Kilmartin for 4th grade at Armour back in the early 70s. She was a wonderful teacher. My most sincere condolences to her family.

Mrs. Kilmartin was my 4th grade teacher at Armour. That was in 1989. She was a Wonderful teacher and I'm sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family and friends.

I worked with Mrs. Kilmartin at Armour School when I started teaching there in 1995.  She was brilliant, funny, energetic, and the life of the party.  Students loved her smiling face and her sense of humor.  She will be truly missed.   She was a role model for me and impacted the lives of so many.  In her true Irish fashion she would have all her students (predominately Hispanic) belting "We're the Southside Irish" down the halls on St. Patrick's Day.  I will forever cherish these fond memories.

I will miss Mrs Kilmartin rounding the corner on central pk with  her dog in front seat, always had a great smile & some kind words to say. She had a tough battle and now she will be spending Christmas with Jesus Christ and all the angels and her husband Jack! What a sight & celebration!
