Matilda Elizabeth (nee Bandura) Pedtke, better known as Tillie, was born 24 Jan 1911 in Nebraska to parents, Peter P. Bandura and Pauline Sebaski. She was a centenarian…only a month short of her 102nd birthday when she died in Chicago, Illinois on 21 Dec 2012. Tillie grew up in Creston, Union County, Iowa with her older sister Gertrude (b. abt 1910) who later married Marion C. Hall in Jul 1932 and younger brother Edwin Herman Bandura (b. 2 Oct 2012) who later married Elsa Witt in Apr 1980. Tillie married Joseph Herman Pedtke (b. 24 Jul 1909) on 19 Jun 1942 at Saint Gregory the Great Church in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on 14 Feb 1983. On 24 Dec 2012 Tillie was laid to rest at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Illinois next to her husband Joseph. Tillie is survived by her children Lawrence, Mary Janice and Ralph plus sister-in-laws Barbara (nee Pedtke) Novak, Dorothy Pedtke and Cecilia Pedtke, brother-in-law Louis Joseph and many nieces and nephews.
