Matthew A Giliberto

Matthew A. Giliberto died at the age of 91 on August 13th 2016. He was born on August 8th 1925 to Joseph and Caroline Giliberto in Chicago, Illinois. Married to cherished wife Patricia H. (Schiedt) Giliberto, deceased. Loving father to Patricia L. Giliberto, (Jeffrey Mahoney) and Michelle Giliberto Borkowski. Beloved and loving grandfather to Ryan Matthew Joseph Mahoney. Matthew is survived by sister Mary Angela Cravatta, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Louis Giliberto. Matthew served his country in World War II, where he became a United Stated Air Force Officer. He was always kind hearted and good natured. He loved to laugh, dance and tell great stories. Matthew’s smile, fun loving spirit and quick wit will be carried on by his grandson Ryan Mahoney.

Visitation Friday 4-8 PM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago. Prayers Saturday 8:45 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clement Parish, 642 W Deming Place, Chicago. Interment Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
