Max V Boyko died peacefully in Glenbrook Hospital on Oct 17th in Glenview, IL at the age of 59. Max will be lovingly remembered by His wife and best friend, Beth Cadwalader; his sons Kyle Boyko and Tyler Boyko; his sister Katherine Fry (Tom); and nephew Richard Boyko. He is predeceased in death by his parents, Maximilian and Katharina Boyko; his sister Eva Zahn; his brothers Joseph Zahn (Maria), Richard Boyko (Donna) and Michael Boyko (Linda).
Max was born Aug. 6, 1961 in Chicago. He went to Niles West High School, attended trade school, and became a union painter. Max grew up in the Catholic Church at St. Brebeuf’s in Niles, IL. He practiced his religion daily. Max was a devoted father to Kyle and Tyler and a loving husband to Beth since they were married on Feb. 13, 2014. In the past two years, Max worked for Fed Ex Ground as a package handler. He always joked that he no longer had to go to the gym and work out! Max enjoyed traveling with Beth. Highlights included; Branson, MO, Houston, TX, Graceland, Football Hall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and Niagara Falls.
Max was an accomplished drummer and often jammed with his friends and bands over the years. He was always described as having a “Golden” heart for his generosity to others. Max was a passionate Chicago Bears fan and his life revolved around the NFL Football Schedule. He was an excellent chef and enjoyed grilling on his “WEBERS” and gardening in his back yard. He loved a variety of music including Old Country, Bluegrass, and his favorite heavy metal bands like Rush, Metallica, Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Nov 7, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL. A prayer service will begin at 4pm with a reception to follow at Coletti’s Italian Restaurant, 5707 N Central, Chicago.
