Hard worker, good cook, music lover, dancer, good talker, compassionate listener.
May was a woman of faith, often praying the rosary, singing in the choir, and participating on stage and off at “Clowning at the Corners.”
May was a people person. She enjoyed being with people – working, playing, eating, traveling, or just hanging out – her motto truly was “the more, the merrier.” She loved nothing more than sharing a good, long conversation over a meal with family and friends. If it was up to her, every occasion would have been a party.
After working at McMaster-Carr 30 plus years, her interest in other cultures and languages led her to work in the English department at Triton College. She also took classes in Spanish and Italian. She volunteered as an English-as-a-second-language tutor and enjoyed traveling throughout the USA and around the world with Don, her husband of 63 years.
We are so proud of the way she battled these last 3 years, both mentally and physically, to recover from the stroke she suffered.
There are so many wonderful ways to describe May – most of all she was loved.
