My brother... My friend..... I’m really going to miss you and cherish all of the memories we had... 
I met Moose through Billy while I was working at family palace in 1994. From there the memories are endless.. They introduced this Irish girl to Greek Town and 9 Muses where I worked for many many years.. Mike came on board working there a few years later and from there we spent countless days together and shared soo many laughs... Mike was the kindest  soul and always looked to the positive in situations,.. He always asked about my family and how everyone was doing and genuinely cared... We went to Six Flags together, Lake Geneva horseback riding,  Walter Payton‘s memorial tribute at Soldiers  Field  and spent countless holidays together celebrating..,   Mike loved his friends who were his brothers.. I am so grateful that when I came to town in November we were able to go out to breakfast so I could hear all about his love for his wife and daughter.. He showed me around his house and was so proud of it and what him and Georgia had made for themselves and their daughter.. We laughed about soo many fun times and I am so grateful that the memory of this  time was our last together.. No tears just love and laughter..  I love you Mike.. You were and always will be one of the best men I’ll ever know. 

We’ve known this family for several years, starting back when their daughter began attending our early childhood center in Skokie. Hands down, Mike has been known as the sweetest, most thoughtful, and caring father.  The way his face lit up every day when arriving for his daughter, and the kindness and love he showed to every member of our teaching team and office staff is what sets him apart.   Despite going through a rough time when he was between jobs and also balancing family needs, I can honestly say there was never a day that he was anything but warm, considerate, and always had a positive outlook and smile on his face.  He always asked how WE were doing, and his concern was authentic.  Georgia and Gabby, we love you and will always consider you family.  You are both strong, beautiful, independent, and resilient ladies and with the grace of God, you will persevere.  We all love you,

When we were kids/teenagers back in 1983-1989 we would play tackle football in front of our yard on 2500 block of North Austin. You give him the football he would turn red and plow right through you. He ran the football like a moose. Kids gave him the nickname moose! Kids on the block could never tackle him. An exceptional athlete. If I recall Mike lost his mom at a very young age! Ice cream truck pulling by, we stop playing football and run towards the truck! He would beat us all in running. He was first in line. 

When at 9 muses drinking my frape, Mike comes by as I was reading the Chicago tribune newspaper and places 2 quarters in front of me! What's this I tell him? He pointed at his watch! I had lost track of time! Mike replied, go run and feed the parking meter mal@k# I ran down halsted cut the corner on Jackson! Traffic management were on block and behind my car giving citations! I didn't get a ticket. He went an extra step in taking care of his customers at 9 muses! These are my fondest memories ov you Mike! We will miss you! Your with your mom! My condolences and to his family!

Where to begin, so many fond memories...I spend endless hours with Mike at Muses, whether we were working or just hanging out. First face you saw at Muses was Mikey's, with his frappe sketto with way too much foam and Marlboro reds. He introduced me to bartending, Football (he tried so hard to explain a game I wasn't getting), fries with BBQ sauce and OJ/Cran mix juice. My favorite memory is when a few of us decided to rollerblade from Muses to the lake. I soon realized that I had an issue going downhill and stopping. Mike went down the hill on Wacker drive and waited as a Human shield to stop me from rollerblading straight into traffic. That was the kind of friend, stellar human being he was. The world is a sadder place and his absence and smile will be missed.

We knew Mike from G&G and my family considered him family. Mike was one of a kind, friendly and loving. You were a best friend when you first met him. We went to St. Pat's eight years apart but we were friends with that bond. 

To his loving family, you are in our thoughts and prayers, as is Mike. RIP. 

I didn't know Mike, but went to the same school with Mike. From all the beautiful thaughts of remembering him and knowing him as Moose, a  wonderful soul with a gold heart! RIP Mike another angel! And all his family friends, brothers, everyone remember the good times you had with him and smile! Follow his steps! To the family I send you my condolences! You're in my prayers!

Seeing Mike on a daily basis always put me in a good mood. We spent countless mornings at caffe pronto drinking espresso and talking about what we loved most. Family, friends and sports. Mike was always the voice of reason and a free spirit. My fondest memory is when we rocked out to iron maiden on April 6th 2016 at the United center. We had a blast. I will never forget that evening and I will never forget you my dear friend. Rest in peace....I love you!

Mike was in the same class as my brother and my cousin in grade school (@ Socrates), so we all kinda grew up together. We all always considered him family and loved him dearly. I remember a few times we would ride to school together and he was always smiling, always happy. He never had a bad day. And whenever you had a bad day, you couldn't help but start smiling when you hung out with him.  I even remember his favorite toy when we were kids. He used to have a Steve Rogers (6 million dollar Man)action figure he would sometimes carry with him. As corny as it sounds, I remember him letting me play with the figure. Where most kids our age would not share their favorite toy, it made him so happy to be able to share his. That was him in a nutshell; Making others happy, made him happy. The sweetest human being I've ever know. I was lucky to call him my friend and my brother. Love you Mike. You will be missed.
