Died: May 15, 2019

Preceded in death by father, Michael Sr.; mother Margaret Tiedt; brothers: Jeffrey Gotter, Douglas Lerch; sister, Linda Gotter.

Michael is survived by his wife, Shelby; sons: John Ragland, Christopher Ragland, Michael Gotter III (Julie), Steven Gotter; adopted grandson Anthony Gotter; daughter Jennifer Tollakson (Todd).

Blessed with three grandsons: Zachary Tollakson, Frank Gotter and Michael Gotter IV; He loved his boys!

Beautiful granddaughters are Diane Brennan, Meredith Ragland Wright, Nicole Ragland, Hannah Ragland. He never got to see our adorable twins born October 1, 2018, Jenna & Journey Ragland.

He had 3 “great” grandsons, Jordan Gotter, Nathan Gotter and Brayden Castro. We have 5 babies under 3.

Michael has one remaining brother, Arvid Lerch (Karen) of Denver, Colorado.

Mickey had 4 beloved sisters: Lois Jean Sharp of Indianapolis; Judy Hamby of Chicago, Reinette Schmidt (Gerald) of Addison; Laura Gray (Albert) of DeKalb, IL; 10 nieces & 11 nephews, host of other relatives and friends.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

He enjoyed watching the Cubs, Bulls, and Bears. Before he became ill he loved to fish, bowl, play poker and horses. When the kids were younger he coached Little League. He’d take nieces and nephews on camping trips with all of us.

He was very sick for a long time. He overcame so much - so long. A drafted Vietnam Veteran that couldn’t open up about the nightmares he experienced; never complained. He trusted Shelby to take care of everything. She told the doctors everything. He will be missed!
