Mike was a real authentic person. Any conversation I ever had with him was real and usually ended with us laughing. I send my condolences to Kathy , Matt, Erin, my old friend Jimmy and his family, and Mr. Mac. I will keep you in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was a great man.

One of my most cherished memories is being Maid of Honor at Kathy and Mike’s wedding. Such a beautiful couple, and a love of a lifetime.

I also remember lots of good times and Mike’s laugh when I would call him as his secret admirer, “Bougaslava”.

Mike was truly a wonderful man and will be missed by some many. Sending all my love to Kathy and the entire family.

I knew Mike from riding on the Rock Island. We had a lot of laughs and a few Miller Lites! Always looked forward to the train ride home! Rest in peace my friend!

Angels knocked upon Mike's door,
And carried him away.
To places we don't understand,
That very fateful day.
But I believe we'll meet again,
And shake each other's hand.
To walk amongst a better place,
And carry out God's plan.
So, remember what he asked of us
and give it all you got,
And say hello, to Mike's free soul,
When standing near his plot.

My heart breaks as I sit here writing. I met Kathy and Mike in 1998. Our boys were the same age and our girls were the same age. I couldn't have asked for better neighbors and friends during my years in Mt. Greenwood. Although we didn't see them quite as much after we moved, they were always near and dear to my heart. Mike was an amazing husband to Kathy, father to Matt and Erin, and friend to all. His memory will live on in all those who's lives he touched. Love you always Kathy, Matt, and Erin.

We extend our most sincere condolences on the passing of Mike. Had the pleasure of meeting Mike as he was assisting me with soccer one year. Mike was all gung ho with what we could do for the kids. Had to remind him that these are 1st graders and with that comes airplanes overhead to beautiful flowers (dandelions) for Mom, our job here was to run them so they go to bed for Mom and Dad tonight. One of many memories I have of him something I'm grateful for. We keep Mike and his family in our prayers. Rest in Paradise Mike as both St John Fisher and St. Christina welcome you home.

Mike was a great guy and a good softball player. It was the beginning of opening day for Christina softball and i got the winning hit off of Mike which I never could do but I got the hit and after the game I went up to mike and gave him a hug and said I finally got a hit off you and we both laughed. He will be missed by many. We will all see him soon. Rip Mike .
