Millie Pietrini nee Cannova, 99, was born in Chicago, IL on August 14, 1921, and lived and raised her children for 69 years in River Grove. She was devoted to her family and God. Beloved wife of the late Samuel for 70 years; devoted mother of Dennis (Elaine), Richard (Angie), Janet and Robert (Marie) Pietrini; cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Roy) Prochaska, Deborah (Michael) Robertson, Joseph (Katy) Pietrini, Tony (Michelle) Pietrini, Robert (Eleni) Pietrini Jr. and Thomas (Lauren) Pietrini; loving great grandmother of Lily, Joey, Dylan, Drew, Gianna, Carmine, Vincenzo, AJ, Dominic, Ava, Landon, Logan, and Sophia; dear daughter of the late Vincent & Carmella Cannova; caring sister of Joseph, Angie, Vince (late Kathy) Cannova and Rose (late Fritz) Eymann; fond aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. She lived a long life, and almost celebrated her 100th birthday. She spent her life as a homemaker, was noted for her famous Italian cooking, and baking thousands of Christmas cookies.
