Miss Brock, as we called her, when l was the pastor of the Hispanic congregation of Salem church, was an extraordinary teacher! She had the sweetest disposition toward her students (she was the teacher of 3 of our girls). She also had a service gift from the Lord. She was a teacher in and out of the school and was interested in the whole person.
What an incredible difference she made in Chicago’s inner city teaching a lot of students who became inspired by her!
May God raise more teacher of that caliber not only in Chicago but throughout our nation!

One of my favorite memories is when my daughters and I were home from Ecuador and we took a train from Florida to visit Chicago! During our trip we spent time with Nancy and Grandma. I remember Nancy getting us amazing Mexican food for dinner and going to Father and Son’s Pizza. And I distinctly remember Nancy taking time with Kassi to teach her some piano skills! She was always teaching! I loved how she interacted with kids!

Miss Brock was a wonderful person and the Lord is so happy to have her in his kingdom. Miss Brock was never a direct teacher for me but I knew her through my parents and sisters who had her as a teacher. She was a very godly and caring person. I play the piano occasionally and she taught me many years ago some tips that really helped in some on my basis for playing by ear. I appreciated her love for people and her compassion. She will be missed but I look forward to seeing her one day again in heaven. To the family.....I send my prayers and condolences.
