Nancy graduated from The University of Georgia with her Bachelors degree and went on to have a long and fulfilling career with Delta Airlines, Carson Pirie Scott & Co.
She was best known for her love — her love for family, beyond daughters and grandchildren, her love for friends, basset hounds and the arts and her love for life itself. Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures, from bridge games with friends to time spent connecting with those she cared for to celebrating Christmas. She had a generous spirit and a heart that touched everyone who knew her. She loved being outside and seeing lady bugs. She also enjoyed watching Gone With The Wind.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James Rathslag. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Foster (Thomas) and Pamela Hunt (George); her grandchildren, Jill Griffith (Jason) and Brian Foster, Ian Treacy, and Shamus Foster, Step-granddaughter Amanda Foster, and great-granddaughter Josephine, and step great-granddaughter Oona.
