Nettie White, Corporal US Army, passed away Jan. 24, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Sgt. Joseph B. White; loving mother of Cheryl (the late James) Corcoran (Jon O'Brien), Bruce White (Elizabeth Zaluba) and Scott (Julianne) White; cherished grandmother of Natalie Rose, Elliott, Gabriel and Judah White. Retired from the Illinois Department of Human Services. Funeral Service Monday, Jan. 27th, 2014, 2:00 PM at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago. Interment Rosehill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars or Paralyzed Veterans. Arrangements under the direction of Drake & Son Funeral Home, Chicago, IL, 773-561-6874.

She was the best mother to me and her life was a true example of sacrificial love, a heart of reconciliation and forgiveness, and a spirit of perseverance in adversity.I will miss her greatly, remember her fondly and look forward to seeing her again one day under the radiant presence of the Lord Jesus where there is no more sadness, sorrow, sickness, and pain...God bless you Mom over and over for how you blessed me and my family:)
