Nicholas P. Schmitz, 73, of Chicago passed away on July 9, 2021. Beloved husband for 50 years of Barbara Schmitz nee Lotto. Nicholas is survived by his daughters Brenda Rosspank, Donna (Christopher) Sainz, and Karen (Matthew) Harkenrider; his grandchildren Samantha and Kristie Rosspank; Julia and Maya Sainz; and Darwin and Miles Harkenrider. He was a loving brother and a fond uncle of his many nieces and nephews.
Nick had a warm and generous heart and remarkable sense of humor. He was the patriarch of a very close-knit family and was a family man through and through. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family and friends.
