To my beautiful mom!

I’m so sorry it’s taken me a few days to write something but I just can’t believe that you are not here anymore.  Mom, I’m missing you everyday. Words can not describe the pain that I’m feeling because you are not with us.  Mom, I love you with all my heart and I promise you that every day God allows me to wake up, I will do my best to make you proud and to continue what you taught us, to be kind, to be giving, to be selfless and to help anyone that you come across that is in need. 

Mom, 

I know one day I will see you again and until that time mom, rest in peace, I love you with every heart beat mom❤️❤️❤️

To my beloved mom. Mami  words can’t express the pain I feel knowing that you are no longer with us. My  heart feels heavy of knowing that I can no longer call you during my morning breaks and asking you how your day is going or asking for advice or even asking you to make me some of your delicious arroz con gandules, pollo guisado or your famous pastelillos de pollo.

Mami you helped me in some many ways. You helped me be the woman I am today and because of that I thank you. This world is cruel but you taught me to be strong and never give up. As a young girl I remembered you getting up in the middle of the night to get ready for work and working 10 to 12 hours a day so we can have a roof over our heads, food in the table and clothes. I also remembered those days when you can hardly walk because of your back but you still went to work. I admired that and I wanted to be that kind of woman.

As a young kid I remembered you going to our bedrooms at nighttime to tuck us in bed and praying for us. This is something that I did as a mom to my boys before they went to be. 

We also remembered you putting treats next to our pillows for example on Valentine Day you will buy us small heart shape chocolates and placed them next to our pillows and on our birthday you will put our gifts next to our bed so when we get up in the morning the gift(s) was there. 

I going to miss the delicious meals you made for us on Sundays and having all your children over  those moments were priceless. 

I’m going to miss you so much but I know you are no longer suffering. I thank God for allowing you to be my mom.

Rest in Peace Mami - No more pain you are free! Until the day comes that we will be together.
