Norm served in the Air Force, flying in a tanker, likely a  Stratotanker, for aerial refueling for aircraft on long missions. Tankers also transported soldiers and cargo. Norm loved to laugh and loved jokes. He fished with his stepson Arthur, Art's wife, and kids for decades. When he drove off on his trips up north, he'd say, " I'm off to Canada again." It was Michigan.   He loved Chicago and the North Midwest, as he was of Nordic, Swedish, and Irish descent.   His boyhood home was at 5356 N Sheridan, the former Wing Hoe Restaurant, which was the residence of his grandparents, the Davidsons. Their daughter Isabel Ann married John Lawson, and they had five sons:  James, David, Gilbert, Rodney, and Norman, the youngest. Norm and brothers Rodney and Gilbert lived their boyhoods at 5356 N Sheridan.   All five Lawson brothers later owned and rented to the iconic Wing Hoe, which closed after 60 years. It was a favorite for receptions, graduations, and birthdays, with several private rooms. I celebrated my birthday there in 1975 with my Grandmother, Daisy Bridges. We lived at 5400 N Sheridan. Norm loved that restaurant, and when it closed, he saved many items from it. Condolences and peace to his family members. We're glad to see him laid to rest at Chicago's Rosehill Cemetery next to his brother Gil.
