A devoted and loving mother, she is survived by her children, Gilberto (Jane) Olvera, Patricia (Gonzalo) Palacios, Ofelia (Scott) Olvera-Auburn, and Alberto Olvera; her grandchildren, Veronica Palacios, Angelica Palacios, Ricardo Palacios, and Alexia Auburn; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Ofelia’s greatest joy was her family, and she devoted her life to loving and caring for them. Her devotion was especially evident in the lifelong care she gave to her youngest son, Alberto. From the day he was born and throughout her entire life, she remained by his side, caring for him with unconditional love, patience, strength, and dedication. The bond they shared was a beautiful testament to a mother’s unwavering love and devotion.
Her family will forever remember her as a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. Funeral service will be held place Saturday, September 19, 10:00 am at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Irving Park Cemetery, 7777 Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60634.
