September 30, 1950June 24, 2019

Predeceased by: Her parents, her Husband of 22 years, her son Patrick and daughter Angela. Survived by her Life Partner Roger, her daughters: Sherry (Tony), Michelle, Melissa (JP), her step-sons: Al (Pauline), Ralph (Vida), her sisters: Sheri (Tom), Laura, Debra, Rebecca (Bob), 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grand children. Pat worked for many years for a non-profit organization called The Uptown People's Law Center where she helped the underprivileged community in their Social Security Disability cases as well as many other legal matters. At the age of 42, Pat made the decision to return to school where she completed her degree to become a Paralegal. Once she received her degree, Pat obtained a position with the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago where she did full representation of Social Security Disability cases from Application to Appeals Counsel. After doing that for a few years, Pat's greatest career accomplishment was receiving a position as a Mediation Supervisor with the Illinois Attorney General's Office. In this position Pat had the ability to assist consumers with their Health Care cases to ensure that the proper insurance coverage was being administered at the appropriate levels and maximum benefits and payments were being applied. Pat was very proud of her career, but most of all she was so happy to be able to help others. Pat had the most kind heart and would help whomever she could. After retirement, Pat could be found refinishing furniture with Roger, gardening or gallivanting around town visiting garage sales with her sisters. Most of all, Pat loved to enjoy laughs and get togethers with her family. When she could look around the room and see how happy everyone was, she found the most joy. She will be truly missed.

I met Pat (my sister from another mother) as we called ourselves while working for the State of IL over 15 years ago. Pat had a light that shined whenever she was around. We'd talk about life, children and how far we'd come through this journey of life. She invited me over to meet you guys several times and I'll never forget any of you! I loved Pat dearly and I'm so sad but I know she's playing Ziltch in heaven and thinking of her State family. You all will be eternally my extended family and I love you!

Pat was much more than just a sister to me, she was my friend. The most gentle and giving person I know.
Her children, family and friends have be blessed to have her in our lives.
One of the memories I will always cherish about Patty will be remembering her humor. Never have I met a person as funny as her because she was funny without knowing it. And I will always giggle at the memory of her adding comments to FB posts that are years old.
I love you bunches Patty Cake and will miss you everday..Jeannie (Laura)

Pat touched so many lives... and left them all the better for her care and friendship. I'll never forget her joyful spirit and sweet, giving nature. Wish we could have lived closer, but we're so thankful she and Roger visited in 2015.

Eternal rest grant her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, by the grace of God, rest in peace.

Arthur and I are keeping the immediate family and her many friends in our prayers.

Mom - Your love for us was unconditional. I am completely heartbroken, but I know you're with dad and loving every second of that. Sending kisses to you on the wings of angels.

See you in my dreams. I love you more than you could ever have imagined.
