

He is survived by his children, Thomas (Carolyn) and Katherine (Eugene), and two grandchildren, Benjamin and Koufax.
Peter attended Lane Technical High School, earned a BS in engineering from the University of Illinois, served in the Peace Corps in Brazil, earned a masters in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a masters in mathematics from the University of Toledo. His career took him all over the world, becoming a Fellow of IEEE, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He loved Chicago history, Studs Terkel, sailing, smelt fishing, visiting London with Julie, speaking Portuguese, and adoring his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Second Unitarian Universalist Church of Chicago, 656 W. Barry, on March 2 from 3 PM. Parking is available at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, 3000 N. Halsted.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Peace Corps.
