Phyllis Kenny

Phyllis Kenny (nee DeSimone), age 93, of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Phyllis is the loving wife of 35 years to the late William Kenny; Cherished daughter of the late John and Theresa DeSimone; Dear sister of the late Connie DeSimone, and the late Roy (survived by Ruth) DeSimone; Loving aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was a proud graduate and life long sorority member of the Chicago Teachers College. She went on to earn her Masters Degrees from Loyola University and was a dedicated teacher and counselor for the Chicago Public Schools for over 25 years.

Phyllis will be remembered by those who knew her as the most elegant and thoughtful woman, who lived her life to the fullest. She will be dearly missed by all.

A visitation will be held at St. Cajetan Catholic Church 2445 W. 112th Street Chicago, 60655 on Thursday March 30, 2023 from 9:30am until 10:30am, with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow beginning at 10:30am. Procession to Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, IL. Date and time pending.
