Pura was the youngest of 16 children, born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico. She lived in Chicago and married the late Graciano Flores and had three children, Janett, Maria and Ricardo. She lived in Florida the last few years to escape the cold, but returned home to live her “remaining life next to her kids and family” as mom would tell us. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Natalie, Jennifer, Joshua, Jacob, Alexandria, Heaven, Julia and Destiny and her great-grandchildren, Ailah, Alyssa, Josiah, Noah and her “tormenta” Asia. She was a sister, aunt, friend to so many who will also miss her very much. Pura adored her family!
One of the things Pura loved to do was to host and cook for family and friends with no special occasions needed. Her planning was meticulous and precise and we knew it would be a feast like no other. With her feast add her glass of wine and music, blasting Vicente Fernandez for starters, and you were enjoying Pura’s motto: VIVE, SONRIE Y AMA!!!!!
Lets not forget her PLANTS!!!!!!! She had a green thumb like no other and could bring back to life any plant that seemed to have no hope. The outdoors and her garden was her peace and sanctuary.
Thank you for joining us to celebrate her life…….
