Rachel was an avid reader who enjoyed fiction, especially Stephen King. She loved horses and nature, and on most days you would find her passing time at the Chicago Botanical Garden. She was fond of coloring books; they brought her peace and tranquility. Canelo, her dog, was her constant companion—everywhere she went, he followed her like a shadow and never left her side.
