

Dr. Ramon Ruiz Lipardo, age 84, of Chicago, was born in Hilongos, Leyte, Philippines on February 3, 1932, and born into eternity on December 1, 2016. He is the beloved son of the late Rosario Lipardo-Vicente and Manny Vicente; loving doctor, cousin, uncle, colleague and fond friend of many.
Dr. Lipardo went to Medical School at Manila Central University and graduated in 1958, and went on to place 10th in the Philippine Medical Board. He obtained his Residency in Pediatric Medicine at Mercy Hospital-Loyola University Clinics of Chicago in 1966. He also obtained his Pediatric Pathology Fellowship at Northwestern University Medical School in 1973. He was an Attending Physician at Columbus Cuneo Cabrini Medical Center, where he previously was Chief Resident of the hospital's newly started Pediatric Residency Training Program. Likewise, he was a Board Certified Pediatric and Fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics while serving as an active staff at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital Center, Norwegian American Hospital, and St. Anthony Hospital. After retiring from medical practice, he continued to be active in charity work with the Knights of Columbus, and even served as Chapter President of Lions Club International. He was an active member of St. Matthias Parish where he tried to attend daily mass on his way to medical grand rounds.
