... I've had the honor of calling Tio Rick for the last 30 years, you are already deeply missed. This world is forever changed without you in it.

Rick thank you for being a mentor, friend, and a 2nd dad to me. From showing up to see me off for prom to coming over without hesitation because I needed help and you were at Home Depot anyway, your presence and support has always been a blessing. My deepest condolences to the family. I only had the privilege of knowing Rick for a short time, but even in that brief window he made a lasting impact. He carried so much wisdom, not just professionally, but in the way he approached life. He spoke about his family any chance he got, and he always expressed how proud he was of his kids. His warmth, humility, and genuine love for those around him are qualities I’ll never forget.

My heart goes out to Rick’s wife, his children, and his entire family. I know they are well aware of what a special person he was and how deeply respected, appreciated, and genuinely loved he was by so many of us. You are all in my prayers.

Rick was a true gentleman. He made time for people and helped whenever he could. He was relentless in his efforts to do the right thing and support the goals we were all working toward. He cared about the work and the people behind it. Rick was always willing to step in and help find a way forward. I’ll miss his stories, his humor, his friendship, and simply having him around.

Rest in peace, Rick. I believe the impact you have on others is a true measure of your life. There is no question you made a positive impact on so many. I know you are at peace, surrounded by all the love you gave and received.

Thank you to the Reyes family for allowing us to have Rick as apart of our family. So happy to have had him celebrate with us recently and lend a helping hand to make it fabulous. He always had a warm smile, funny adventurous story and welcoming spirit. He will be missed.

Some people have a unique way of touching lives, and Ricky was one of them. He opened his heart to everyone, served others selflessly, and made us all feel deeply loved and included. Thank you, Ricky, for your endless kindness and for making us family. You will be missed beyond words. Until we meet again. One of my favorite people. Forever grateful for all of the times you showed up for me without me even having to ask, for all the times you cared and showed me unconditional love. Thank you for always taking me in and making me part of the family. I miss you so much already. I love you.

Rick was a colleague, a strong and respected member of our team - dependable, conscientious, thorough - everything a leader or teammate would want.  He helped ensure we understood the perspective and day-in-life realities of the plant teams and technologies we work to secure.

Rick was industrious and intellectually curious, we shared DIY interests, and I benefitted from hearing his thoughts on various topics.

Rick spoke with pride about his family - I now see in some of these pictures the good times and precious family he referenced.  

The photo shared was taken on 29 July 2026 in Portsmouth, UK.  Rick's knee was feeling good and he was active on the cricket pitch during a group team building game. 

Rest in peace Rick.  Thank you for everything.  I'm sad our collaboration won't continue.  I'm sad for your family but know they will use what they learned from you to carry-on and succeed.

I am so sorry to hear of Rick's passing.  He was a wonderful mentor and friend at KraftHeinz, and I will always be grateful to have known him.  My prayers and deepest condolences are with his family and all who loved him.  May the Angels lead Rick to Paradise and let perpetual light shine upon him.  Eternal rest grant unto Rick and may he rest in peace.

Thank you for always being someone that I could look up to. Thank you for all of the hard working morals that you instilled into me from when I was a little kid. I’m going to miss getting calls from you asking me if I can go help you at the buildings, or if I want to go to the outlet malls with you. I’m going to miss randomly stopping at your house and walking downstairs to your office and seeing you get excited every time I walked in. You never failed to show us how much you cared about us, and that is something that I will always cherish and look back at. We spent so much time together, so many holidays, so much time fixing cars, fixing houses, and i’m really grateful for all the time we got to spend together because those were some of the best moments of my life. You never missed one of my basketball games, any of Gia’s dance recitals, any of our birthdays or graduations. You were always the first to show up, just like when I crashed my car. I’ll never forget how you got there in 2 minutes. Thank you for everything Tio, I love you, and I hope you rest easy. I can’t wait to see you again ❤️

I had only worked with Rick for a little over a year, but in that time, it had been apparent that he was driven, had vision, and strived to do the best he could. I enjoyed the time we spent together and was very sad to hear the news of his passing. He was always in a good mood, didn't let the pressures of his work weigh on him, and his collaborative nature was refreshing.  I'm sorry for your family's loss and am thinking of you all in your time of mourning.

I was shocked to hear of your husband`s death. I was not privileged to have known him, but if he was anything like you he was indeed a very good person and a tremendous loss to many. If there is anything I can do at any time, even if just to talk with you about it, please let me know.

To my uncle, who was so much more than an uncle to me-you were like a father.
Thank you for keeping the promise you made to my dad and for always making sure I was a part of your life. You never made me feel like anything less than your own child. You included me, loved me, and always made me feel like I belonged.

Rick was always willing to help, always generous with the wealth of knowledge he carried, and simply a great person to work with. Rosie & I grew up with Ricky (Papo) and his sisters, Millie, and Gloria, and when we think back to our childhood, they are such a special part of those memories.  We spent so many summer days with them, playing outside from morning until evening on Kenmore Ave. Back then, those summers seemed like they would last forever. Looking back now, we both realize just how precious those days truly were.

When summer ended and school began, we would all walk together to Hawthorne and then back home after school. At the time, they were simply part of our everyday lives—the walks, the laughter, the friendships, and the carefree days of being kids. Today, those simple moments mean more to me than I could ever have imagined.

Rosie and I are so grateful for every summer day, every walk to school, every laugh, and every memory we shared. Ricky will always be a part of those beautiful childhood memories that we hold close to our hearts.

Sending  our  love and deepest condolences to the entire Reyes/Cano family. May Ricky (Papo) rest in peace. He will always be remembered with love. ❤️

I first want to say, I am sorry I didn't keep in touch Rick.  To Rick's family, I am sorry for your loss.  Rick is a wonderful person.  I worked with Rick at Kraft for about 10 years.  Like myself, we traveled across the country installing networks.  Rick was a person you could count on, trust in and was there when you needed someone.  Rick will be missed.  The memories are many and wonderful.  I am not sure why he called you up, but I sure wish we would have had one more chance for a wonderful memory.   Best wishes and you are all in my prayers.

One of my favorite memories of the Kraft team getting Chicago and Madison guys to a Yankees game. Rick was one of a kind, getting the job done right, but always having fun and a being a great friend while doing it.

We had the pleasure of spending some extended time with Rick back in January on a trip to Puerto Rico.  A trip he was making to fix his father’s childhood home.  This is who he was, so much too so many.  One of the kindest most generous individuals I have ever known.  We had such a good time on this trip and had so many great talks.  Rick will be greatly missed.
