

Robert Anichini passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Robert lived a life defined by devotion to family, friendship, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Robert shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Karen, whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life. Together they built a close-knit family that brought him immense pride and joy.
He was the loving father of Paul (Michelle) and Brian, and the cherished grandfather of Joslyn and Alyson, whom he absolutely adored. His granddaughters brought endless smiles to his face, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Robert was also a devoted cat dad to his beloved companion, Ozzie. Ozzie was a constant source of comfort, companionship, and laughter, always nearby to brighten his days. Their special bond brought Robert great joy, and Ozzie's presence filled his home with warmth and happiness.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Mario F. Anichini and Mary Anichini, and by his brother, Joseph Anichini. He is survived by his sister, Loretta "Cookie" (Cesare), along with many extended family members and dear friends.
A friend to many, Robert never met a stranger. His warmth, sense of humor, and genuine kindness left lasting impressions on all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course, cheering on his beloved Chicago White Sox each season, and sharing stories with family and friends.
An avid traveler, Robert especially loved visiting Italy, the homeland of his family roots. Those trips held a special place in his heart and deepened his connection to his heritage.
Robert's legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, generous spirit, and the joy he brought to others.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, US, on July 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm followed by a prayer service.
