Robert "Bob" Joseph Hogan

Bob was the beloved husband of Vivian (nee: Schabes) for 47 years. Loving father to Colleen (Marty) Brennan, Willie, and Patrick. Proud Papa to Brynn, Lyle, Blake, Maeve and Aidan. Cherished brother of Carol (the late Tom) Held, Mick (Sally), Mary (Fred) Hefke, the late Marcia (Dewayne) Bates. He is also preceded in death by his loving mother Marie (Johnny “Punkie”) Wilson and his father Robert Franklin Hogan. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors and friends.

Bob worked many jobs but spent most of his career as a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 73. He was a man of quiet strength, deep faith, with a big heart and unmatched work ethic. He loved his family dearly and taught us to enjoy life’s simple pleasures, “not to sweat the small stuff”, to work hard and be of service to others. He will be missed dearly but his legacy is everlasting.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 9:00AM – 11:30AM at Malec and Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60646. A funeral mass will be held following the visitation 12:00 Noon at St. Robert Bellarmine Church 4646 North Austin, Chicago, IL 60630. Private Inurnment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162.
