Robert George Karlic Sr, 79, passed away on January 29, 2020 losing a battle with COPD at Kindred Lakeshore with loved ones near and far surrounding him in space and spirit.

Robert (aka Bob) was born in Chicago to Frances and John Karlic on Dec. 9th 1940. He went to Lane Tech High School, The Art Institute of Chicago and Northwestern University. Robert was born and raised in the Bucktown neighborhood and a true Chicagoan. Robert worked as an artist/ graphic designer & photographer for half his life and retired from the Chicago city circuit courts.

He is survived by his children Robert Karlic Jr., Lynnea Karlic, Douglas Karlic, Kimberly Tuggle, Cynthia Ribbens, Carol Lutz from his first marriage, Cecilia Karlic from his second marriage, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Robert was known in his younger years as expressive and extroverted. In most recent years he was more introverted and continued, till his last days to be opinionated, sweet, loved, witty, politically savvy, hilarious and artistically talented.

Kim and Cindy. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when your dad come into our 1st grade classroom and taught us how to draw a dog. I still draw that dog. I have even shown some of my students how.
