Robert Paul Klopp (70) of Chicago, Illinois died at home peacefully on February 4, 2020, fifteen years after a life-saving liver transplant. He was preceded in death by his beautiful mother, Betty Jane Werner.

While growing up in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, Bob attended Forest View High School, graduating in 1967. He charismatically led a dynamic rock band, “The Chosen Few,” and began a life-long interest in acting and performance during these years. After high school, Bob served two years in the U.S. Navy, stationed in the Philippine Islands. Seeking more adventure after his service, Bob lived in several states, most notably Colorado, Texas and Louisiana. He met Edith in Chicago where they married in 1979. They lived in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, where their son was born, and in Phoenix, Arizona for over twenty years before returning to Chicago in 2007.

Bob will be remembered for his imagination, charm and ability to entertain both young and old alike. A man of many interests, his work and creative endeavors included theater, magic, music and craftsmanship. As a Tobacconist, he shared his knowledge of fine pipes and cigars in high-end retail shops. Bob was always intriguing and insightful in conversation, which left an indelible mark on so many, especially those who knew him well.
