A lifelong Chicagoan, Rose was born to the late Frances and Edward on November 20, 1951. Her four brothers, George, Edward, William, and Michael, preceded her in death. She is sorely missed by her remaining sister, Sandra Fischer.
After graduating from Waller High School, Rose worked more than 50 years at Cotter & Company/True Value Hardware corporate headquarters. It was there where she met the love of her life Richard. They have spent more than 40 years together enjoying family time, coffee, and Wheel of Fortune. Rose was an avid bowler and played 16” softball, but found the most joy being in loving service to others.
Rose was a cherished mother to Robert (Joann) Rivera, his late twin, Emilio, Evelyn O’Connor, and Daniel (Amanda) Butterworth, and step-mother to Erik (Lisette) Butterworth. She was a devoted grandmother to Megan, Robert, Jr., Lauren, Kristen, Kevin, Bradley, Alec, and Peter. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends. A huge dog lover, Rose was a fur mom to Blackie, Teddy, Cody, and Bella, all who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
