Dear Dennis and family,
I only had the pleasure of meeting your Dad on occasion - but that means several happy times through the 43 years I've known you guys. He always struck me as such a grounded and peaceful person. And I've come to learn that it was his faith in God that gave him that peace. You can be sure beyond doubt that his leaving us is just him joining the most perfect company of Jesus. It is a delicious truth I hope you all can take comfort in, as we wait in hope of the same! You all have a personal advocate in heaven now.
He will leave a great hole, to be sure, but focus on his great long life and memories. How beautiful that even the grandchildren had him (and the example of his life) - in their lives for so long!
Please give your Mother my sincere sympathy and know that you are all in my prayers.

I never knew Sam. But I know Dennis and Rich. They are great people. Ergo, Sam was, and is, great.

So sorry for your loss... I have fond memories as a neighbor (many years ago).

To all of Sam's family -- I am so sorry for your loss. I go back to some of my earliest memories, and Sam was there. He and Millie were dear, dear friends of my parents, and there is a long and rich history there. One thing for sure, the world in general is poorer having lost that amazing smile. I wish I could be there today, but know that I'll be keeping a good thought for you all.

Alan and I send our deepest sympathy to the Pietrini family.  Mr. Pietrini was such a kind and loving man.  The video was a wonderful tribute to the kind family man he was.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

What a legacy Sam leaves!  I know you all will be there for your Mom and each other.  Even in his 80's, he could zip around St. Armand's Square (Longboat Key) and find a parking place!  Those of you who have been there know how difficult that is.  He sure enjoyed Florida.
