Scott was a devoted husband and partner to Christine (nee Bonk); loving father to Allison (Blackmur), Jeanine, and Danny; proud Papa to Parker (Blackmur); brother to Jill (Walker); and son to Diane and the late Raymond Achtel. Scott was born and raised in the city of Chicago where he proudly served 24 years in the Chicago Fire Department as Firefighter/EMT on the West Side at Engine 44 Truck 36 Ambulance 83.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ignite the Spirit and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are appreciated. Please also consider donating blood to the Red Cross in Scott’s honor.
A visitation for Scott will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
