Sean was the beloved father of Maggie, Delaney, and Will; devoted partner and best friend of Jackie Balduf, and her children, Noah and Ethan. He was the cherished son of Cathy (the late George) Feuerschwenger and
L. Robert (Pat) Kevin; loving brother of Patty (Frank Laraia) Schuler and Carrie (Ingo Hardesty) Manniello; and fond stepbrother of Kurt (Heidi Meredith) Feuer, Karen (Joe) Nychay, and Lynne (Joe) Fusco. He was the dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews, especially John, McKenna, Michael, Lauren, Katelyn, and Jack, a loving friend to his many close cousins, and an adored nephew to his aunts and uncles. Sean was the former spouse of and committed co-parent with Lori Kevin.
Sean proudly served the Chicago Fire Department for 30 years, a career he dedicated himself to with pride and commitment. Above all, Sean loved being a father and cherished the time spent with his family.
He had a love for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Pearl Jam. He enjoyed a good Old Fashioned, spending time at the beach, and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
Sean’s warmth, humor, loyalty, and love for those around him will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 23rd, from 2:00–8:00 PM at Malec Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60646.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, September 24th at 11:00 AM at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 320 S. Washington Avenue, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
