Shirley was born on November 28, 1949, in Agno, Pangasinan, Philippines, to Fausto and Petra Salvador. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Her kindness, strength, and love touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving children, Cheryl, Kent and his wife Eileen; her cherished granddaughter, Chloe; and her siblings, Vita, Linda, Rudy, and Bonifacio. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bennie, as well as her parents, Petra and Fausto, and her siblings Oscar and Milagros.
Shirley dedicated her life to her family and to caring for those she loved. She will be remembered for her generosity, selflessness, resilience, compassion, and quiet strength. She was an incredible cook who expressed her love through the meals she prepared, always bringing people together around the table. She found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments — cooking for loved ones, tending to her garden and flowers, and taking peaceful walks in nature. She also had a special love for her grand pets, Moses and Benji, who brought her great happiness.
Though she did not serve in the armed forces herself, Shirley proudly supported her daughter Cheryl’s 28-year military career. She was a constant source of strength through every deployment, celebrated every achievement, and offered encouragement through every challenge. Her support was a quiet but powerful contribution to her daughter’s service to the nation.
She was also her son Kent’s strongest supporter, always present to encourage and uplift him, helping to lay the foundation for his success in his technology career.
Her presence brought comfort and warmth wherever she went. Her legacy lives on through the values she instilled in her children, the memories she created, and the love she leaves behind.
