Mr. Souk Chaleunesouk, at the age of 84 years old, died of natural causes at home on January 4, 2020, in Chicago, IL, United States.
He is survived by his wife, Noy Chaleunesouk; his daughter, Nouk Chaleunesouk, his daughter, Sumkid Saythongsouk; his son, Touy Chaleunesouk; his daughter, Pradith Chaleunesouk; his daughter, Prasith Pholha; his daughter Nucharin Saythongsuk; his daughter, Thavone Nyatso; his daughter, Ladda Nyatso; and his daugher, Koy Chaleunesouk Nyatso . He has 3 granddaughters and 7 grandsons.
He is also preceded in death by his son, Praseuth Chaleunesouk, from a traffic accident.
He was born on February 2, 1935 in Pak Lay, Laos, to parents Sounn Synatoum and Sim Synatoum. He moved from Pak Lay to Vientiane in his teens. He got married in 1960. He arrived in the United States on December 30, 1980. He has worked in the manufacturing industry for over 20 years.
In his family life, he was a loving father as he was fond of his nine children. In the year he got married and thereof they had a very happy fulfilling life.
In his social life, he always lent a helping hand to those in need. His activities were admired by the people who cherish his memories at the core of their heart.
The Chaleunesouk's family joined St Thomas of Canterbury parish in 1981. They learned about Catholic teaching there. Everyone was baptized and got communion. Most of his children were students at St Thomas of Canterbury. Some family members are still active at St Thomas of Canterbury/St Ita.
