S.T. spent his early years in Mississippi where he attended Flower School. In 1957, he moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he began building a life through determination and hard work. Over the
years, S.T. became the proud owner and operator of a mechanic shop. Known throughout the community for his hustle and strong work ethic, S.T. believed in making an honest living and standing on his word. He was also well known for his straightforward personality—never afraid to tell it just like it was. Outside of work, S.T. enjoyed the simple things in life that brought him happiness. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking, grilling, and especially spending time with family during gatherings filled with laughter, stories, and good food. Family meant everything to S.T., and he valued the time he shared with the people he loved.
He was proceeded in death by the mother of his first's daughters: Betty Brown, his grandsons Emery Brown, Vincent Rodgers, Leonard Brown, and Stanley Bobo; his brothers D.C. Wright, Charles Bobo, Shelby Bobo, and Mayweather Bobo; and his sisters Annie White and Snowella Bobo.
S.T. leaves to cherish his memory his beloved soulmate, Barbara Jeans; one sister, Novellar Bobo, one son, Gregory Williams; and six daughters: Jacqueline Brown, Bernadetta Brown, Ericka Bobo,
Shirley Jeans, Latonia Johnson, and Natalie Bobo, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends who will forever remember and honor his life.
Before his passing, S.T. shared words that reflected the peace he felt about the life he lived: ' I have lived a good life.'
S.T. will be remembered for his strength, honesty, humor, and the deep love he had for his family. Though he may be gone from our sight, the legacy he built and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
