Stella M Drozd

Stella M Drozd, age 89, of Niles, Illinois passed away peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2022. Stella was born October 29, 1932. Loving daughter to the late Piotr and Maria Drozd (nee Kawula); Beloved sister to Eleanor (Ted) Straz, Helen Drozd and Irene Zawislak (John); Beloved aunt to James (Marilyn) Straz, Roger (Elizabeth) Straz, Gary (Irene) Straz and Sandra (Michael) Davern; Loving great aunt to Melissa (Curt) Tucholka, Michael (Samantha Clark) Straz; Roger T. (Tara) Straz, Ryan Straz, Colin Davern and Daniel Davern; Cherished great-great Aunt to Eleanor Fraser, Ellis Straz and Emery Straz; Dear “pet mom” to her kitty, Buffy. Stella was a devoted, caring sister to Helen. She was also a devoted sister-in-law-caregiver to Ted and Eleanor and a loving sister to Irene. Stella was best remembered for her humbleness a very giving and generous individual, always sharing her experiences with her loved ones and was matriarch that had family glued together since 2000. For those who knew Stella, she is fondly remembered for how conscientious, caring and good to everyone. She was an avid animal lover. She was devoted to her faith and was a long-time resident at St. Andrew’s in Niles, IL since 2013. She has been a good friend and helper to many at. St. Andrew’s. She is well loved and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital Celebrate Senior Living of Niles requires all attendees to wear a face mask when entering, regardless of your vaccination status. A visitation for Stella will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Celebrate Senior Living of Niles, 7000 N Newark Ave, Niles, IL 60714. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will occur Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 7000 N Newark Ave, Niles, IL 60714. A committal & interment will occur Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at St. Adalbert Cemetery, 6800 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714.
