Born in Poland, Thaddeus lived through the hardships of Communist Poland before immigrating to the United States in pursuit of the American dream. Through determination, hard work, and optimism, he built a life that reflected the values he held most dear: family, generosity, faith, and gratitude. While he remained deeply proud of his Polish heritage, he was equally proud to become a citizen of the United States, a country that gave him the opportunity to build a better future for his family. Thaddeus never forgot the opportunities America gave him. He made it a mission to help others pursue the same dream, welcoming and assisting countless immigrant families and friends with guidance, encouragement, and a helping hand. He believed that success was meant to be shared and that kindness was one of life's greatest gifts.
Thaddeus shared 47 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Stanislawa Tenus. They met in Chicago, where they built a beautiful life together and raised their family in the Jefferson Park community for more than 40 years. Together they created a home filled with love, laughter, hard work, and countless memories.
Thaddeus was a proud father to his two children, Kathy and Michael. He welcomed his son-in-law, Daniel, into the family with love and was especially proud of his two grandchildren, Colin and Amelia. Being their "Dziadek" was one of the greatest joys of his life. Whether sharing stories, making them laugh, or simply spending time together, his love for them was endless, and the memories they shared will be cherished forever.
Above all, Thaddeus was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, generosity, laughter, and a life defined by helping others. His example of kindness, perseverance, and selflessness will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.Those who knew Thaddeus will always remember his warm smile, infectious sense of humor, and generous spirit.
After retiring at the age of 70, Thaddeus embraced the simple joys of life. He loved listening to music, keeping up with the latest technology, and was always curious to learn something new. Above all, he treasured spending time with and caring for his beloved wife Stasia and his son, Mikey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 7, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Constance Church, 5843 W. Strong Street, Chicago, Illinois. Following, a graveside will be held at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles.
